Project LIFT, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, provides a one-on-one mentoring program for at-risk youth in North Fulton County. We support and empower them to become sustainable and contributing members in their communities by focusing on academic support, mentor and peer accountability, and life skills development.
Project LIFT serves 8th-12th grade students who are: having difficulty passing mandated tests; lacking the ability to withstand peer pressure; lacking motivation; not performing to their potential; and/or enmeshed in difficult family situations. Students are referred by FultonCountySchool personnel, parents or community partners. Each participant is matched with a Mentor who works directly with the student to improve their academic performance and enhance their abilities to withstand daily challenges as a teen. Funding provided in part by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners under the guidance of the Housing and Human Services Department Grant Programs.
